Britney Spears announced some BIG news (baby #3!!!) on Instagram today, and the love and support from her fans is invigorating. Spears took to her feed earlier to share her excitement after learning that what she initially thought was “food pregnant” thanks to her recent trip to Maui was actually a whole lot more. And the announcement was just as adorable as one would expect from the Queen of Pop. She described, “So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈 It’s growing !!! If 2 are in there … I might just lose it 😬😬😬😬😬😬.”
Spears is known for her openness in discussing personal matters with her supporters on social media, especially over the past year as she fought tirelessly to end the controversial 13-year-long conservatorship over her life. Her transparency about the toxic and abusive nature of her relationships with her father and long-time manager of her conservatorship, Jamie Spears, and other individuals appointed to control her estate and professional life, formed a fierce allegiance towards Spears from her fans as she navigated her way to freedom. When she spoke out in court, she pointed out that the level of control she’d been experiencing due to her conservators disallowed her the opportunity to get pregnant. It also forbid her any chance at marriage, another joyful event Spears has been able to experience since being freed in the court system last November.

As a mom of two to Jayden, 16, and Preston, 15, Spears is no novice to pregnancy and admitted her past struggles stating, “It’s hard because when I was pregnant, I had perinatal depression … I have to say it is absolutely horrible.” But you can feel her optimism this time around as she continued, “Women didn’t talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret.”
After spending so much time fighting to get out from under someone else’s thumb, it’s no wonder she couldn’t wait to share her excitement as she moves on from her past towards a brighter future.
