Watch Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy React to the ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Trailer

Even the Sanderson sisters think it's fabulous.

It seems like we ’90s kids weren’t the only ones hovering over our computers to watch (and rewatch) the Hocus Pocus 2 trailer that dropped earlier this week. Apparently, the Sanderson Sisters got in on the action, too!

In a new Facebook video, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy got together to watch the trailer for the first time. Despite filming the movie, even they were surprised at some of the tricks and treats that appear in the upcoming film.

“Is that them or us? It sounds like us…Doesn’t that sound like us?” Sarah Jessica Parker asks at one point. “That’s you I thought,” replies Kathy Najimy. Meanwhile, Bette Midler is fully in trance on the fabulous visual effects the new movie is bringing. “Here we cooooome,” she says.

The watch session wraps up with many an applause and a resounding “very nice, I think it looks great” from Bette Midler. We couldn’t agree more.

In case this is the first you’re hearing about the upcoming sequel to the cult classic movie, here are the deets. The plot follows the return of Winifred, Mary and Sarah Sanderson that are brought back to Earth when someone lights the Black Flame Candle and resurrects the sisters. Having been out of commission for quite some time, they are now out for revenge and it’s up to three high school students to stop the rampaging witches in Salem.

Fans have been waiting decades for a followup film, and over a year since it was announced the sequel would be happening. Now, the movie is within our grasp and we have just three months to contain ourselves. Hocus Pocus 2 will debut exclusively on Disney+ on Sept. 30, 2022.
