Chrissy Teigen Announces She’s Pregnant Almost 2 Years after Losing Jack

When Chrissy Teigen and John Legend suffered the loss of their third child, Jack, in 2020, the world collectively grieved with her. In sharing the moments leading up to her hospitalization and pregnancy loss, Teigen was very vocal that she might never have the emotional wherewithal to have another baby––until this year.

Taking to Instagram on August 3, Teigen shared that she is pregnant! “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way,” reads her post.

Like any parent who has suffered a loss, Teigen admits that it’s been difficult to feel excited in the midst of all the fear.

“I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing,” she says. The road to her rainbow baby hasn’t been easy.

On the second slide of her Instagram post, Teigen shared an image showing large bruises on her leg––the site of injections for IVF. She shared that she was going through the process back in February with another Teigen-like honest post.

“I wanted to let you guys know I’m balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos,” reads her caption.

John has also shared his wife’s bump pics on his own Instagram, with a simple sweet caption of “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Chrissy and John’s rainbow baby will join big siblings, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4. 

No word yet on baby number four’s arrival date, but we’re guessing the happy family will share when they’re good and ready.
