Sliding Rock, Pisgah National Forest

While the slope is gentle compared to manmade water parks, this 60-foot natural rock slide is Mother Nature's own way of telling us to have fun. The water is super cold, but with the summer heat beating down, it might be a wonderful reprieve. Especially when folk find themselves plunging right into a 6 to 7 foot deep pool at the end.
