Movie theaters haven’t tired of churning out superhero content, and frankly we’re glad we can escape to a world where a caped crusader takes on evil on our behalf. To keep it interesting, Warner Bros. is taking the meaning of hero to a new furry level with its newest flick, DC League of Super-Pets.

That’s right, your fave superheroes aren’t working alone this time, they have man’s best friend by their side. In the newest trailer, Keanu Reeves is revealed as the voice of Batman and well, we can’t think of a better man to take on the job.

So what’s the newest film about? The Justice League has been captured by none other than Lex Luthor (voiced by Marc Maron), and Superman’s dog, Krypto is determined to rescue his main man. Together with the help of a gang of shelter pets who also have superpowers, the group will use their newfound skills to battle the evil villain like we’ve never seen before.

We’ll meet pooch Ace, PB the pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel––all with powers that range from super speed to electric powers. The film is voiced by tons of stars that include Dwayne Johnson, Keanu Reeves, Kevin Hart, John Krasinksi, Vanessa Bayer, Diego Luna and Natasha Lyon.

You can catch DC League of Super-Pets when it hits theaters on May. 20, 2022.
