That’s why we’ve rounded up the coolest winter fests the country has to offer so you can get your snow, sled, ski and polar plunge fixes in all season long. WinterFest – Coralville, Ia – Jan. 14, 2018

If there’s one thing the Midwest knows, it’s snow. So it’s no surprise that Coralville, Iowa has gotten in on the winter festival action in recent years. 2018 will marks its 11th annual celebration, and returning festivarians couldn’t be more excited to hop on the horse drawn trolley ride that travels through town, like a modern day sleigh ride. While families are psyched to playfully take aim at each other during the indoor snowball competition (we’re thinking parents against kids, you in?), simply add in a puppet show and a penchant for rootbeer floats and you’ve got the makings of a winter-ific (mostly) free event.
