In 2011, after Dominique discovered how little information about global warming was available to parents online, she started Moms Clean Air Force in order to clarify the issue and bring voices together to fight toxic air pollution on behalf of future generations. Whether it’s an educational event for kids, a petition for parents to sign, a detailed database filled with current stats, information and talking points, or an email newsletter providing readers with the latest news on the air pollution front, Moms Clean Air Force has become the preeminent online place for parents concerned about the future of the world’s air. As senior director, Dominique is able to combine her passion for the environment and her abilities to communicate with people in an effective, understandable way.
As a mom of two (and a new grandma to one!), Dominique has always felt lucky she was able to do almost anything in her career while raising two awesome sons at the same time. Taking the plunge and starting MOMS was an unknown move, but it has been worthy gamble. With over 850,000 members, there are chapters in more than a dozen states. She says, "I truly believe we can have it all. We just can’t have all of it, all the time. It is about being resilient. We’re always going to get knocked down. The key is getting up again, trying all over again.”
