A musical experience for the whole family! Based on Dr. Seuss’ popular book, “The Sneetches for narrator and orchestra” tells a timeless story about accepting our differences, brought to life by colorful projections from the book and narration by KIRO’s Dave Ross. Plus, the “Peanuts Concerto” weaves together the jazz-inspired songs of Vince Guaraldi and the much-loved Peanuts television specials, with virtuoso soloist Jeffrey Biegel showing kids what a pianist can do. The tunes from A Charlie Brown Christmas will make your feet dance and your heart sing as you begin your holiday season!
Not only a great introduction to live music, this concert will be just plain fun all around. Families are encouraged to arrive early to explore musical instruments with Music Center of the Northwest’s “Instrument Petting Zoo” and to peruse books provided by Seattle’s own Secret Garden Bookshop, both in the lobby of the newly-remodeled Town Hall.
