Do you dare to spend the night?

Fans of Disnery’s Haunted Mansion ride: Hold on to your mortal souls: This masterfully morose Airbnb replicates the eerie interior of the infamous dark ride so well you’ll wonder where Walt is hiding.

Airbnb

Located in an otherwise unassuming home in a residential neighborhood about 5 miles from Disneyland—the one-story Fullerton bungalow looks like nothing special on the outside (Except, wait! Are those gravestones encircling the garden wall?). Step inside and you’ll be transported to a delightfully spooky world, with the requisite creepy sounds, flickering candles, and dark corridors flanked with eerie pictures.

Anyone who knows the ride will recognize loyal nods to the attraction, including a few floating characters that look remarkably like the ones who hitchhike home with you on the slow-moving park ride; and a”windowless chamber” reminiscent of the “stretching room,” where long portraits of un-endangered mortals are not actually what they seem. The chamber is designed to be a seance room (but for the non-spirit-seeking, there’s “Uno” and “Sorry”, too).

The rental has four bedrooms, each one as spookily foreboding as the next, with mahogany trims and burgundy bedding loaded with pillows. There is an elegantly decorated dining room and living room—and even the bathrooms maintain the macabre-mansion tone, with hidden surprises lurking throughout so you can explore the space as if it is a sinister scavenger hunt (Hint: Make sure to check the kitchen for a special “note” on the counter).

Good to Know: While the home is best experienced with all the ghoulish details intact, the effects can be turned off with a simple text to the host.

When you want to join the world of the living, the sizable backyard is a welcome respite, with a 6-person jacuzzi, a putting green, and a Haunted Mansion-themed cornhole game.

The home’s owner—your “ghost host,” as the HM would say—is an effects industry veteran, having done production design for film, television, amusement parks, and live entertainment for more than 20 years. His Airbnb profile says, “The Haunted Mansion inspired me at such a young age to be in the profession I am to this day.”

It paid off. Reviews posted for the home commend the “meticulous” attention to detail, especially when it comes to how accurately the home replicates the ride.

“I’ve always dreamed of staying over at the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland and this is literally as close as you can get!” said one reviewer.

“Our group left the house in the morning headed to Disneyland and rode the Haunted Mansion first thing… we couldn’t believe how much matched EXACTLY between the house and the ride,” said another.

Rates start at $463 per night, with prices higher on weekends and school holidays. Be sure to check it out in time for the new Haunted Mansion movie!

But don’t say we didn’t warn you…
