How to Use Amazon Prime Member Perks at Your Local Whole Foods Market

Oh, Amazon—as if we needed another reason to love you because our favorite mega online retailer keeps saving us money. If you’re not sure how to use Amazon Prime member benefits at Whole Foods, now is THE time to learn, because Amazon is rolling out even more Prime member savings at even more stores nationwide. And here’s how you can make the most of it!

So there are already a few ways to save at Whole Foods with your Amazon Prime membership. You can use the Whole Foods Market app or use your phone number (after adding it to your account on Amazon) to get special deals. When you visit your local participating Whole Foods Market, simply sign into the app and scan the Prime Code at checkout to save.

Where you see the blue and yellow in-store “Sale” sign you’ll score 10 percent off—but not everywhere. Even though Prime member deals were only available in select states, that’s about to change. In June, Prime savings are extending to several new states, including Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.

Starting Jun. 13, Prime in-store savings will include:

  • Essentia Water, 1.5 L bottles, 4 for $5
  • Organic yellow nectarines/peaches, $1.99/lb.
  • Annie’s Natural Macaroni & Cheese, BOGO (that is, buy one, get one free)
  • Will sustainably caught yellowfin tuna steaks, $15.99/lb.
  • Made-in-house pork sausage, $3.99/lb.

If you’re all about Whole Foods’ self-serve tea cookies, you can snag them for half off on Jun. 15. Sadly, this is only a one-day sale, so stock up while you can.

Along with in-store savings, Prime members in select cities can also enjoy savings when they use Prime Now to have their Whole Foods Market groceries delivered. The current Prime Now roster includes L.A., Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta and Austin, along with the brand-new additions (as of Jun. 12) of Baltimore, Boston, Richmond and Philadelphia. If you’re lucky enough to live in one of these cities and you’re a Prime member, you can qualify for free two-hour delivery on Whole Foods purchases over $35.

Don’t worry if your state isn’t included in the latest roll-out of Amazon Prime Whole Foods perks and discounts—there are still plenty of Prime benefits to enjoy and ways to save. Plus, you never know when Amazon will expand their discount deals to more states.
