Meet WJM The Band. William (lead singer and bassist), Jeremy (guitarist, backing vocals), and Max (drummer, backing vocals) are three California teens who love music. William was singing by age one, Max was drumming at four, Jeremy starting playing guitar when he was five: the trio joined forces when they were nine years old. Together, they use their music as an agent for change—any proceeds from their performances are donated directly back to San Francisco Bay Area charities.
The boys find inspiration from all walks of life. William wishes he could collaborate with Mute Math’s Paul Meany, Jeremy dreams of working with The Edge, and Max would love to jam with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker. William is also an actor on stage and screen and plays tennis. Jeremy loves to golf, ski, and play basketball. Max skate boards, plays guitar, soccer and golf. All three love spending time with friends and family.
In 2015 at Notes + Words, a benefit concert held at Paramount Theatre in Oakland, WJM The Band performed in front of 3,000 people to raise funds for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital—where Max’s brother had previously been treated for cancer. In April 2016, WJM performed on NBC's Little Big Shots to an audience of 10+ million TV viewers, and hung with hilarious host Steve Harvey.
What’s next for WJM The Band? They released their second EP, where we’ve never gone before, on December 16th, 2016 (get a behind the scene glance at the making of the EP here!), and they’re also prepping to play at the Oakland Children’s Hospital for non-profit organization St. Baldricks, which raises funds specifically for pediatric cancer research.
