Natalie Alcala, Founder of Fashion Mamas
Freelance fashion editor and one of chicest moms in LA, Natalie Alcala, makes it her mission to know what’s going on in the fashion world at all times. In fact, it was her passion for fashion and newfound motherhood that inspired her to launch Fashion Mamas— a members-only network of influential mothers who work in fashion and creative industries. Since launching, Fashion Mamas has grown to over 200+ members in LA, New York and San Francisco. When she’s not busy connecting moms in the biz, she loves spending time with her 2-year-old son Diego around Hollywood enjoying acai bowls at Earth Bar, strolls around The Grove, post-nap lunches at Gracias Madre and afternoons at Pan Pacific Park. And when it comes to tackling it all, Alcala says, “Don't try to do everything at once. If you're in the middle of replying to an email, don't look at your phone and start scrolling Instagram. If you're hanging with the little one, close the laptop and give them some of that beautiful eye contact — they love it. I've found that giving my undivided attention to each action item makes me less overwhelmed and even a little more productive. But that's not to say that I don't multitask like a mofo at times! All mamas know that we have a method to our madness, and somehow, someway we get it all done because we love it all. In fact, Fashion Mamas’s unofficial motto is ‘Overworked, Overwhelmed, Overjoyed.’”
Fashion Mamas is always on the lookout for inspiring mamas to add to their growing roster of superwomen, so feel free to apply here if you're that girl!
