Lucky Charms Releases Just Magical Marshmallow Pouches

They’re magically delicious, or are they? Earlier this month, Lucky Charms’ famous marshmallow charms were mysteriously losing their magic, and the only hope in restoring them was to use the power of the special Lucky Charms song: “Hearts, Stars, and Horseshoes. Clovers and Blue Moons. Unicorns, Rainbows, and Tasty Red Balloons!” From coast to coast, families and superfans, including actress Tamera Mowry, came to the rescue, singing the Lucky Charms melody to bring back the magic.

DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free: Riding Academy Part 2 launches exclusively on Netflix Sept. 4. Inspired by the 2002 Oscar-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free: Riding Academy Part 2 takes place during their final term as Foals, Lucky, Pru & Abigail have finally adjusted to life at Palomino Bluffs Riding Academy when Mariciela announces that she and Mystery will be joining them.

According to the show’s description, as the PALs become the PALMs the girls must learn to navigate friendships both old and new, especially when Eleanor, a new student, and potentially a faster racer than Lucky and Spirit, arrives on the racetrack. Together they will face their biggest challenges yet as the girls bravely encounter new adventures, experience new emotions, and discover that friendship is what ultimately matters most.

Keke Palmer Joins Cast of Disney+ “Proud Family” Reboot

We are still riding on the excitement of the news of The Proud Family reboot on Disney+. Today, the cast and executive producers participated in a virtual reunion during the NAACP’s Arts, Culture & Entertainment Festival. The panel was moderated by Keke Palmer, who announced that she will be joining the cast for the upcoming series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.

Today’s panel featured Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud), Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Proud), Jo Marie Payton (Suga Mama) and Cedric the Entertainer (Uncle Bobby), creator/executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar. Their conversation included reminiscing about the cultural impact of the Disney Channel series which premiered 18 years ago, and a glimpse of the exciting new series coming exclusively to Disney+.

Palmer will play the role of Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, a 14-year-old activist who relentlessly marches to the beat of her own drum. She is extremely mature for her age and will not hesitate to shut anyone down with her blunt honesty and wisdom. The adopted daughter of mixed race parents, Maya is new to town, and initially disassociates herself from Penny and her crew because she is skeptical about what she perceives to be the superficiality of social cliques. However, Penny eventually gains her hard-earned respect and the two become good friends.

Picking up the story of its central character Penny Proud, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will also include her family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and her grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). Penny’s loyal friends Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez and Zoey Howzer will also be returning.

All seasons of The Proud Family are currently available on Disney+. The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is currently in production.

NASA Astronaut Joins “Reading with Role Models” Series

You may be looking for new ways to entertain your kids at home. There are a wealth of online resources you can access. NASA Astronaut Lieutenant Colonel Nicole A. Mann will be joining Hullabaloo Book Co + Chronicle Books for “Reading with Role Models,” a free virtual story time featuring everyday heroes.

NASA Astronaut LtCol Nicole A. Mann will read Most Marshmallows. Listeners will also have the chance to hear her talk about her amazing experiences as an astronaut. Mann is a graduate of the Naval Academy and Stanford and a Marine F-18 operational and test pilot, She is the only female in the upcoming first crewed flight of the Starliner spacecraft.

This episode of “Reading with Role Models” will air next Thurs., Apr 30 at 3 p.m ET/12,p.m. PT and will only be available to watch for 72 hours (per NASA).

LtCol Mann’s episode of “Reading with Role Models” is an exciting addition to the “Reading with Role Models” lineup that includes an ER Doctor, a biologist, sheriffs, firefighters, a young environmentalist, a Tony-nominated Broadway performer and many more. Congratulations are in order. Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have another baby on the way. The happy couple both announced the pregnancy on their Instagram accounts today.

Hilaria shared a video of her baby’s heartbeat during an ultrasound. She captioned her post, “Sound up…I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel. Just got the great news that all is well and all is healthy with this little munchkin. I wanted to share this with you. Here we go again.”

Alec also shared the same video, simply saying, “My, oh my…”

This pregnancy comes five months after Hilaria shared that she lost a pregnancy, which was the second pregnancy she had lost in seven months time.

This baby will be the fifth child for the couple, joining big sister Carmen and brothers Rafael, Leonardo and Romeo. Alec Baldwin has a 24-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his marriage to Kim Bassinger.
