Sesame Place is coming to the West Coast! SeaWorld Entertainment recently announced the upcoming renovation to its Aquatica San Diego property.

Until now, Elmo enthusiasts and Big Bird besties have only had one option to explore Sesame Street-themed adventures IRL—the Philadelphia park. Now kiddos, and their adults of course, can enjoy the same Sesame Place fun across the country in the franchise’s second park.

Steve Youngwood, President, Media & Education and Chief Operating Office, Sesame Workshop, said in a press release, “As we celebrate Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary, we are excited to share the news of a major opportunity for kids and families to connect with and learn from the brand and its beloved characters.” Youngwood continued, “The opening of Sesame Place San Diego will give guests a unique and powerful way to experience Sesame Street, enable us to connect with even more families, and further our educational mission.”

Along with family-friendly rides, water slides, live character shows, parades and interactive experiences, San Diego’s new Sesame Place will also open as a Certified Autism Center. Like the Philadelphia park, San Diego’s park will also have plenty of pre-visit resources (such as a sensory guide), designated quiet spaces and the staff will participate in autism sensitivity and awareness training.

Of the CAC designation, Marc Swanson, Interim Chief Executive Officer, SeaWorld Entertainment, said, “We are proud to be opening this new park as a Certified Autism Center and are committed in our efforts to offer families inclusive activities for children with autism and other special abilities.” Swanson also added, “Providing fun and memorable experiences through exceptional service is a part of that.”

Charming Charlie is shuttering stores in 38 states. The jewelry and accessory chain recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and like many other brick and mortar stores (such as Toys “R” Us and Gymboree), Charming Charlie’s days are coming to an end.

This isn’t the first time the retailer has filed for Chapter 11. Charming Charlie’s first bankruptcy ended last year, but included the closure of 100 stores. With the second filing, the company will now need to close its remaining 261 locations.

So what pushed Charming Charlie over the edge? Reportedly, “unsustainable operating expenses,” including the rising cost of leases, are at fault.

According to recent reports, the chain plans to complete the closure by the end of August. This means saddened fans of the retailer will get a last chance to score deep discounts immediately—many locations are already in going out of business sale mode.

After more than half a century in business, national retailer Dressbarn has just announced that it will be going out of business.

The chain, which started as a single store in Connecticut, currently operates about 650 locations nationwide. For the time being all locations will remain open for business and will be honoring returns as well as accepting Dressbarn-branded credit cards and gift cards. The company promises to share more information about sales and closing dates as the winding down of business continues over the coming weeks.

“For more than 50 years, Dressbarn has served women’s fashion needs, and we thank all of our dedicated associates for their commitment to Dressbarn and our valued customers. This decision was difficult, but necessary, as the Dressbarn chain has not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today’s retail environment,” said Steven Taylor, Chief Financial Officer of Dressbarn in a statement.

He continued, “During the wind down process, we will continue to provide our customers with the same great experience both in-store and online, offering them even better deals and value. We will work to assist our associates through the transition and maintain existing relationships with our vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders through this process.”

The new location is the largest space yet and goes beyond the clothing retail space to include stylists, a beauty bar, a coffee cart, a desk space for co-working and even space for networking and evening events.

The only downside to this amazing spot is that you’ll never want to leave. “Think of it like your gym or your Starbucks; it’s part of what you do on a daily basis,” Rent the Runway chief operating officer Maureen Sullivan told TechCrunch.

Want to book a UK or European vacation this summer? Your low-cost overseas travel dreams are about to come true. JetBlue recently announced flights to London and we’ve got the deets for you!

The new routes, which will fly out of Boston and New York City, are set to start in the not-so-distant future. As the carrier’s first European destination, the London moves is making waves on both sides of the pond.

President and chief operating officer, JetBlue, Joanna Geraghty, said in a press release, “Twenty years ago, our founders had a simple formula for choosing a new market – it had to be overpriced, underserved or both.” Geraghty went on to add, “London is the largest metro area JetBlue doesn’t yet serve from both Boston and New York, and we could not be more thrilled to be changing that in the years ahead. The fares being charged today by airlines on these routes, specifically on the premium end, are enough to make you blush.”

Instead of having to choose between the typical high-priced business class fares or low-quality coach seats, JetBlue is reimagining the trans-Atlantic flight experience. The carrier’s Mint class will feature lie-flat seats and specially trained crewmembers. Geraghty said, of Mint, “he success Mint has had on driving down the exorbitant airfares that our competitors were charging, stimulating new demand and forcing the entrenched carriers to up their game, is a big reason we believe London is the next natural market for JetBlue to be successful and make a positive impact on consumers.”

While there’s no specific start date yet, JetBlue plans on offering its United States to London flights in 2021.

Here’s Every Day Your Kid Can Fly for Free on Frontier Airlines

When a three-year-old accidentally locked out his dad’s iPad, the Twitter-verse jumped to save the device. New Yorker staff writer Evan Osnos recently shared a screenshot of his iPad—and all 25,536,442 minutes try-again time!

We’ve all been there. Your kiddo gets a hold of some sort of pricey piece of tech and disables or otherwise locks it. Osnos’ story is the same, but to the extreme. With well over 25 million minutes until he could even attempt to unlock the tablet the dad took to Twitter, pleading for help.

So what advice did the internet have for Osnos? While plenty of people got technical with their responses, others had a more playful approach. One Twitter user suggested time travel:

https://twitter.com/Geopilot/status/1114708847128608768

Another commenter tweeted to give the tot the passcode. Of course, Osnos went more for the actual tech ideas and not the more imaginative options.

Following the initial tweet Osnos told his followers, noting he was still locked out: “It’s down a few hundred minutes from yesterday, but it looks like we’ve still got 25 million minutes to go. On Twitter, people have suggested various fixes but the consensus seems to be that we’re using an old operating system that won’t let us restart fresh from iTunes. When I get home from work tonight, I’ll give it a try and see what happens.”

According to an update tweet, Osnos was able to get the iPad into DFU (device firmware update) mode and start the restoration process.
