Nameberry has compiled a list of the most popular baby names of 2020 so far. Luna and Milo are leading the roster for girls and boys. Surprisingly missing for the Top 10 was Cora, a favorite from previous years. Â
“We projected Cora would rank among the top girls’ names in the US for years to come,” said Nameberry’s CEO Pamela Redmond. “But Cora’s popularity is waning because it’s too close to coronavirus.”
With Cora out of the running for the top spot, Luna has risen to the number one slot. Similar to Cora, Luna is a sleek yet ancient mythological creature.Â
