Join an afternoon of family fun and creative activities hosted by The Shops at Montebello celebrating the playful and exquisite spirit of Fancy Nancy.

Activities will be held in Center Court. Children of all ages will find entertainment making a “Fancy Nancy” themed craft, receiving a glitter tattoo from glitter tattoo artist, and listening to stories told by a Docent Naturalist from Whittier Narrows Park.

Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Jack (of beanstalk fame!) and Rapunzel get tangled up with a bevy of other fairy tale characters and discover the unexpected consequences of having wishes come true. Journey into a fantastical world where traditional fairy tales take on fractured new lives and teach important new lessons. See the Stephen Sondheim musical originally produced by the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. Note: Recommended for audiences 10 and older due to mature language and themes.

The New Children’s Museum and The Ecology Center are partnering for Road Trip at the Museum, a special pop-up experience aboard Road Trip which will be parked in front of the Museum. Come aboard to enjoy hands-on experiences for all ages, dig into DIY activities like seed saving, growing food and composting!

Chicago Premium Outlets is gearing up for the second performance of the Party by the Pond Summer Concert Series. Chicago’s ultimate 90’s party band, Run Forrest Run, will entertain shoppers with their upbeat hits from the 90’s. But first, enjoy a performance by another local favorite, True Company. This free public concert is set to take place surrounding Chicago Premium Outlets’ picturesque outdoor feature pond and will include kid-centric activities on and around the adjacent play area, along with local food trucks.

Chicago’s largest summer sidewalk sales, the Wicker Park Bucktown Sidewalk Sales, brings together dozens of unique Wicker Park and Bucktown businesses along Damen Avenue, Division Street, North Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue with special promotions throughout the weekend, plus a fashion show, circus performers and live music along the participating corridors.

Pack up the pooch and head to Impact Field for The Chicago Dogs’ first-ever Bark at the Ballpark dog friendly game. Fans and their furry family members can enjoy dog hospitality stations, as well as special activities honoring the four-legged fans. Puppy Bowl star Miss Brie will lead an official infield dog parade. The Anti-Cruelty Society will be on-site at Impact Field to educate fans on pet adoption, volunteering opportunities, pet fostering and microchip scanning.

Note: All four-legged fans attending “Bark at the Ballpark” must be on a leash at all times, wear ID and rabies tags and have complete and current vaccinations.

Join other Seattle families for another great year of movies at Mercerdale Park. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and movie snacks and enjoy free family movies shown on a giant inflatable screen.

Note: Movies are cancelled during inclement weather, so please call the Mercer Island Community & Event Center at 206-275-7609 to confirm showings on bad weather days. Fun activities and crafts related to the movie will begin one hour before show time. Flashlights, warm blankets and chairs are encouraged. Refreshments sold on site.

Bring the whole family to Pine Lake Park and enjoy an outdoor picnic as the Sammamish Symphony performs their annual free summer pops concert as part of the City of Sammamish’s Concerts in the Park series. The program is sure to bring out the inner child in everyone, featuring great works of music written for and about children.

Note: This is a free event for all ages; no ticket required. Food will be available for purchase at the park or you can bring your own. Parking is limited at the park. Additional parking will be available at Discovery Elementary School located across the street and at the South Sammamish Park and Ride. A free shuttle will be available between the South Sammamish Park and Ride and the park from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Spend a magical morning sipping a mimosa while Magic Evan dazzles and delights with his fun family magic show. After the show, let your child’s imagination run wild on their indoor playground.

Your child will learn about different cultures and the ways in which those cultures express themselves artistically. This event is centered around France in honor of Bastille Day. Your child will be learning about Naturalism and still life. Naturalism is a form that originated in France and used to most famously by New York based company artist Kehinde Wiley.
