It doesn’t get better than this three-day fine art festival! The 3rd annual Artfest Michigan Avenue features over 100 juried artists who work in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass and mixed media. The festival will take place on Chicago’s famous Michigan Ave. situated next to the new Apple Store. In addition, the prime location is perfect for a relaxing view of the Chicago River, more shopping with various stores on Michigan Avenue and of course, a stop to enjoy the “all art” show.

Summer Fridays just got even more fabulous. Now you can enter the weekend with good food and fun by dining at gourmet food trucks in Balboa Park while enjoying live entertainment. Eat gourmet dishes from a rotating selection of more than a dozen food trucks parked on the Plaza de Panama and El Prado walkway. Throughout the summer, Food Truck Fridays will present different family-friendly musical performers or DJs each night in the Plaza de Panama. The Plaza’s “living room” setup will be rolled out, including a large artificial lawn for children to play on and giant family game sets. Various Balboa Park cultural institutions will also have booths set up with hands-on activities and crafts for kids. The San Diego Museum of Art will continue to offer $5 admission prices to all visitors after 5 p.m. on Friday nights.
