Wonder Works will have lots of rocks today, including big rocks to touch, smaller rocks to sort, and tiny rocks to sift from the art room sandbox. You also can collect coal hauled by the O-scale model railway, pieces of geode, and rocks of many different colors. The play dough table will be set up as a quarry, where diggers and dump trucks excavate rocks and wooden trains haul them all away.

Young wizards will enjoy a trip to the National Gallery, in search of art that echoes characters and enchanted objects in the Harry Potter books. Track down serpents, Dumbledore look-alikes, and figures as scary as any Death Eater. This hunt references the books to provide a bridge to many wonderful works of art. Kids must be accompanied by adults.
