Mark your calendars for Farm Fest, a celebration of Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands’ transformation into a hub for urban farming and community in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood.
Festivities will include activities for the whole family. Pick blueberries in the food forest, attend cooking demonstrations and learn how to make spring rolls, plus discover the wetlands with Shadow Lake Nature Preserve, plant seeds with Tiny Tots Development Center, attend a pollinator workshop in the garden and make herb crowns to wear.
While you’re exploring the farm, enjoy bites from food trucks like Where Ya At Matt and Frelard Tamales. Umami Kushi will be on site selling ozaku pan, a type of Japanese curry bread The Farm Fest stage will feature live music all day, including sets from KEXP DJ Stas THEE Boss, Alma Villegas y Azucar, Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons, D’Vonne Lewis Trio and a performance by Dance Brazil.
Mommy & Me Class with horses, TEN baby goats, TWO baby pigs and the occasional hen with her baby chicks. We’ll be doing a session of Goat Yoga catered just for kids followed by Goat Happy Hour. This is the time that the “kids & kids” get to snuggle, pose for fun pictures and learn about the farm! This event is held at our Oregon City location at the beautiful Beaver Lake Stables. For an additional charge we have Sweet Dahlila Farms who will have their Flower Bar set up to teach you how to make flower crowns/bouquets after the class. Everyone deserves to be adorned with flowers! You’ll learn different crown making techniques, flower preparation tips, and some of the magical meanings of flowers.

You’ll track down Hagrid-like giants, a powerful sorceress, Dumbledore look-alikes, and figures as scary as any Death Eater.
