Post Malone Is Going to Be a Dad: ‘I’m the Happiest I’ve Ever Been’

Post Malone might have tattos that say "Always Tired" on his face, but he's about to learn a thing or two about that as a new dad.

Post Malone, the “Sunflower” singer whose real name is Austin Richard Post, is not only dropping a new album in June, but he also dropped the news that he’s going to be a dad. He and his girlfriend, whose identity is undisclosed—but who fans refer to as “Jamie” on social media—celebrated the news with friends and family at a private event this weekend in Southern California.

Post told TMZ in a statement, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad.” That Malone’s private life is somewhat of a mystery is no surprise. Three years ago, the star moved from LA to Utah to a private mountain sanctuary, telling Billboard, “People wanted me to stay in LA—that’s where the work gets done—but I was fed up.”

While the guestlist for Malone’s baby news party hasn’t been disclosed, he has worked with other prominent rappers like Young Thug, Kanye West and 50 Cent. Obviously, their favorite kind of party is the one with diaper cakes and fruit punch, so one can only imagine that they were there. Just kidding. We have no idea.

What we do know is that Malone’s own father was a disc jockey in his youth, and he credits his dad with introducing him to all types of genres of music, including country, rock and hip hop. Undoubtedly, Malone will share his musical talents with his own child. And he’s about to experience new meaning for his under-eye tats that read “Always Tired.”

Malone appears to be focused on winning at the dad game, telling TMZ, “Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”
