Rajni's resume reads like the fashion magazine aisle at your favorite old school newsstand. Elle, Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vibe, Nylon, Glamour....she's made her mark at them all, and after punching the clock in some of the most vaunted editorial offices in New York, she's restyled her career to focus on creating digital content for various fashion websites, which involves everything from conceptualizing the idea to producing it which entails ideation, casting, and working with a talented group of people to bring that vision to life. So basically a fashion editor's dream job. And a new mom's ideal set-up. As a contractor with various brands, Rajni has ample time to spend with her 3-month old son, Diego. "Right now I just stare at him 24/7 because I find him so fascinating," says Rajni, who lives in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. "The feelings that overcame me when he was born are unexplainable. He's a blessing (we tried for a year and a half) and makes me a better person. When people would say that I would roll my eyes, but it's so true. I believe you now!"
Proud Moment: Hands down, my proudest moment personally is having my first child Diego. When I was pregnant I couldn't believe I was, and then as I got closer to the due date I couldn't believe that I would be a mother. Having him choose me and becoming a mother has been the greatest.
Words of Wisdom:I realized that you can never compare your old life to your new life. The old me is still there, but with an added bonus. This is a new chapter so embrace it and you will work on balancing it all. It's sometimes hard to do but, then I think of him and I know I would choose who I am now with him over who I was.
