Rumer Willis welcomed her first baby at home—and shared a sweet photo of her little one, who she describes as “pure magic”
Rumer Willis is a mom! The 34-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore shared the exciting news on Instagram, where she posted a sweet photo of her newborn daughter, Louetta.
“Louetta Isley Thomas Willis,” she wrote in the caption. “You are pure magic. Born at home on Tuesday April 18th. You are more than we ever dreamed of.”
Louetta is the first baby for Willis and her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.
Congratulations from friends and family poured into the comments on the post, including a message from Moore: “Pure love for this little birdie❤️”
Moore had previously shared photos of a pregnant Willis, writing, “Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era.” We can’t wait for that, TBH.
Willis spoke to People magazine earlier this month about her pregnancy and welcoming her first baby, and revealed that she always planned to choose an unusual name for her little one.
“I come from a family where I’m named Rumer, and my sisters are Scout and Tallulah, so I knew that I wanted something interesting, unique and different,” she said. “Thankfully, my partner was super down.”
She also revealed that she wasn’t putting too much stock into picking out names before the baby arrived.
“But then there’s a part of me too, that I feel like I have to see [the baby],” she explained. “It’s such a weird sensation where you’re like, ‘I love this kid, this little person so much, but I don’t necessarily know them, so I have to see who they are and see if that fits.'”
