Do you let your pets sleep in your bed? According to a new study, if you want to get better night’s sleep (and really, what mom doesn’t), you should totally let your fur baby into bed with you… Well, only if it’s a dog.
A recent study conducted by researchers at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York found women who let their dogs sleep in their beds reported less disrupted sleep and stronger feelings of comfort and security. Cats, on the other hand, were about the same as sleeping with a human partner when it came to sleep disruption.

Over 90 percent of the 962 American women who participated in the study were pet owners, so the research doesn’t really highlight a difference in sleep between pet owners and non-pet owners—but if you do have a dog at home and you could desperately use a good night’s sleep, you might want to invite your pup to hop into bed for the night.
