The next Amazon Go cashless store is set to open in NYC—joining the three existing stores in Seattle and one that just opened today in Chicago. An Amazon spokesperson told Red Tricycle, “We plan to open Amazon Go in New York.” As of now, that’s the only word from the mega online retailer-turned real world brick and mortar store owner. And that means there’s no opening date or location yet. The check-out free grocery stores have made a major impression in Seattle. And given their popularity, it looks like Amazon is ready to expand. After all, who doesn’t want to walk through their local grocery store, pluck your items off the shelf, put them into a cart and walk out the door—without having to pay? Of course, Amazon has their own special way of charging your account. So even though you might feel like you’re a little bit of a shoplifter, we promise you really aren’t. Even though there’s no word on the specifics yet, Amazon is already hiring for its newest store. Amazon has four Amazon Go jobs listed on its website, including a Field Learning and Development Manager, Training Lead Associate, Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager. With the success of the cashless grocery model, we’re hoping that Amazon rolls out more of these stores across the country! —Erica Loop Featured Photo: Amazon via YouTube RELATED STORIES: Amazon Just Opened Its Second Cashless Store—Where Will It Open Next?
