Lively shared some gorgeous pregnancy photos with fans
Blake Lively recently announced she and husband, Ryan Reynolds, are expecting their fourth child. The notoriously private parents are used to being surrounded by paparazzi, so Lively decided to take her pregnancy photos into her own hands and share them with the world in hopes they would be left alone.
Lively went official with her pregnancy during the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit in a gorgeous gold dress showcasing her growing bump. The pictures she posted to Instagram, however, really stole the show. “Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone,” she wrote. “You freak me and my kids out.”
Lively and Reynolds, have always remained private about their kid’s lives. They share daughters, James, seven, Inez, five, and Betty, two. They have not shared birth announcements for any of their kids and have waited to even share their names. Any photos of the kids obscure their faces.
Lively has previously spoken out against paparazzi who have stalked her and the kids. After one photographer shared an image of Lively smiling while out with her three daughters in 2021, she said the snap was “deceitful.”
“The real story is: My children were being stalked by a man all day. Jumping out. And then hiding. A stranger on the street got into words with them because it was so upsetting for her to see. When I tried to calmly approach the photographer you hired to take these pictures in order to speak to him, he would run away. And jump out again at the next block,” Lively wrote, eventually agreeing to one smiling photo if they would leave her alone.
“Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications who share photos of children,” she continued in her post. You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a ‘No Kids Policy’. You all make all the difference.”
Here’s hoping we’ll see more pictures of this gorgeous mama on her terms.
