We’ve started doing the research on virtual and in-person spring break camps for Chicago kids. Cooking, digging in the dirt, honing in on acting skills. . . no matter your kid’s interests, we have a camp for them! Read on and get booking (these will fill up fast!).

Virtual Camp at Lincoln Park Zoo

Lincoln Park Zoo educators will lead campers in grades Pre-K-4th through a variety of activities that explore the fun and fascinating world of animals. Each camp day is independent and has a different theme, so campers can choose which days to attend.

Virtual & In-Person Cooking Camps at The Kids’ Table

Kids can embark on a culinary adventure from their own kitchen with The Kids' Table in week-long virtual camps meant to cater to kids across the country. They also hope to offer in-person camps for local students, but decisions have not yet been made. Check the link for updates on current offerings.

In-Person Adventure Camp at Chicago Children's Theatre

Chicago Children's Theatre is offering a creative in-person camp for kids in grades K-5. Using the frameworks of legends, myths and fairy tales, your kids will learn the basics of acting, songwriting, singing, dance choreography, collaborative story development, and scene and prop construction. Students work together to create an original story while they gain new, specialized skills (and friends!). At the end of the week, campers will perform their own new story for families.

Virtual Aquarium Mini Camp

Animal experts will take kids in grades K-5 on a virtual dive into the aquatic world. They will have opportunities to look nature in the eye with up-close animal encounters, investigate the impressive world of aquatic animals and uncover adaptations that will leave them in awe. Each session will have a different animal or habitat focus and is designed to be engaging for learners.

Spring Break Camp at Chicago Botanic Garden

No way kids will suffer from spring break boredom at Chicago Botanic Garden. Campers in grades K-4 will investigate science and nature while dissecting seeds, discovering fragrant herbs, watching migrating birds, loo for plant species on a hike and perform simple experiments. Kids can decide how many days they attend.

In-Person Junior Expedition Camp at Morton Arboretum

Kids ages 3-5 will search for signs of animals and learn how life adapts to the changing seasons.

Virtual & In-Person Camps at Second City

Second City is offering both in-person and virtual spring break camps. Instead of being couch potatoes, kids can work on their creative energies. They will study the fundamentals of improv that help develop stage presence as well as patience, self confidence good communication skills and respect for other performers. Campers will also develop their personal stand-up style and hone in on their sense of humor.

In-Person Camp at Little Beans Cafe

Little Beans is offering a fun-filled camp for kids ages 3-9. The day consists of imaginative and active play, sports, art, a daily class, healthy snack and games. Lunch can be brought from home or purchased for $5.
