Get Good Light

The beach is one of the most natural places to play, and children will forget you are there trying to snap their picture. According to Koh, the late afternoon has the best light for photographing kids, since the sun will be lower in the sky but still bright enough to capture the images without your flash.

KEY TIPS: If you are at the beach, make sure the sun and water are behind your subjects but still getting enough light on their faces so they don't become dark silhouettes.
