We all know it by heart — Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown – but there’s a new children’s bedtime story in town! Goodnight iPad: A Parody for the Next Generation by Ann Droyd (ahem. nice name.) will have you cracking up the next time you’re reading to your kids. This cheeky bedtime story is written for parents to enjoy, while still being appropriate for actual bedtime stories. Instead of a cow jumping over the moon, there are Angry Birds launching over the moon and all of our favorite tech-favorites also get guest appearances — Nooks, Facebook friends, LOLs, texts and even You Tube-esque cat videos. The book ends with the sweet line of “goodnight gadgets everywhere” – a great reminder to all of us to put down our own favorite gadget and read a book to our kids – even a funny one like this!
