This fall the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM) offers a trove of LIVE, engaging, creative and inspiring classes, ensembles, lectures: from the baby-bopping Sing & Play class, to the hands-on Intro to DJ class, to enthralling Instrument Adventures classes, to Composition Club and much more.

Private lessons at BKCM are an extraordinary experience and are available for every major instrument including voice. Drawing from a diverse faculty of world-class musicians and educators, we match each student to a teacher whose approach and experience best fits their learning style.

Plus, private lesson students can take advantage of free or reduced admission classes and ensembles. More than just a phenomenal value, these complementary programs are integral to our holistic and comprehensive approach, and are designed to promote musical excellence.

The true taste of Oregon awaits every visitor at Farm2Fork when they undertake a customized tour of the Tillamook coast or the Willamette valley. They can select which farm to visit, including urban produce farms, tea and hops farms and sample the freshest of cheese, oysters, olive oils and wines.

Enjoy everything fall as we celebrate the last harvest of the season… pumpkins!

Daily, guests can take a wagon ride out to pick the perfect pumpkin, cheer on the pigs in the pig races (Tuesday-Friday at 12:30pm), get lost in our corn maze, and play all day in our five acre play area, with attractions like TWO jumping pillows, swings, slides, mazes, Farm Ninja Warrior Course, Putt Putt, barnyard animals, and more!

Weekend festival admission includes all daily activities PLUS: watch some pumpkin munchin’ at our P-Rex show, visit with the pumpkin princess, shoot mini pumpkins and apples out of our pumpkin cannons, roast marshmallows, and listen to live music!

Located just an hour’s drive northwest of Chicago, Richardson Adventure Farm has become an annual destination for family fun, with a new 28-acre maze every year, plus more than 30 activities, including wagon rides, pig races, a vintage carousel and a “park train” that runs on real tracks. Most of the activities are included in the admission fee with a few (such as the zip line and “Orb” rides) cost extra. Private picnic sites with campfires and firewood are available by reservation, and there’s free parking.

This year Richardson’s added a heated tent near the pig races and train depot, serving wine, beer and hot chocolate with schnapps, plus live music on most weekend afternoons.

Admission in September: $17 for ages 13 and up, and $14 for ages 4-12;
October/November weekend prices are $19 for ages 13 and up and $16 for ages 3-12.

Fall Family Festival: Time Travel
Sunday, October 20, 2019, 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.

The Norton Simon Museum’s creativity-fueled Fall Family Festival returns—taking families on a journey around the world and through time with pop-up art-making workshops in the galleries and garden. Join a time-travel workshop with educators from the creative writing organization 826LA, create your own time travel luggage and journal, design your own time machine, write postcards from the 18th century, create 17th-century inspired hats and explore 19th-century Paris. Listen to the sounds of ancient Indian instruments, and enjoy story time in 20th-century Europe—there’s so much to explore and experience at the Family Festival.

Fall Family Festival is free for children 18 and younger. Adults pay general admission.

Taking place every Sunday at the Melrose Trading Post from 9am-noon, Melrose Mornings is for kids from toddlers to ‘tweens. Entertainment includes kid-friendly bands and entertainers, a handmade putt-putt course, arts and crafts, and a host of fun, creative activities! Melrose Mornings at the MTP is brought to you by Greenway Arts Alliance in partnership with the Melrose Business Improvement District (MBID).Entrance is $5 for adults, free for kids. There is a charge for special activities.* The Melrose Sunday Music Series follows after on the Main Stage, and enjoy more than 200 vendors until 5:00pm.

Annual Pumpkin Fest starts September 28 thru October 31st 2019, with Affordable Fun on the Family Fun on the Farm for the whole family! Our admission includes over 30 unlimited attractions for all ages to enjoy. From taking a hayride, sliding down the tallest mountain slide in the midwest, letting off energy in 1 of or all of our 5 play areas, to getting lost in 1 of our 2 cornfield mazes or visiting our farm animals to pet and feed. Be sure to head out to the Pumpkin Field to pick a pumpkin right off the vine it grew from. The La Jolla Open Aire Farmer’s Market, located on the campus of La Jolla Elementary School, is a vibrant community event and gathering place each Sunday from 9-1, hosting more than 140 vendors each week. From farm fresh produce and an international gourmet food court, to talented local artisans, our market has something for everyone! Bring the family and enjoy breakfast or lunch on the lawn or in our covered seating arbor while listening to live music. Your kids will love running on the grass, playing on our two playgrounds, and being treated to face painting and balloon animals.  We also offer a complementary dog sitting service, right outside of our market gates, courtesy of Dog Zenergy.

On October 20, as we celebrate our 21st anniversary, we will be hosting our annual Harvest Festival, a free family event from 10-1, featuring games, music, prizes and more!

The La Jolla Open Aire market is different than other farmers markets in that all proceeds benefit La Jolla Elementary, a public school. The proceeds fund various initiatives including school improvements and programs such as art, music, library, technology and additional teachers to lower class sizes.
