“Fuller House” Uncle Jesse Is Finally a Dad as John Stamos Welcomes First Child

The internet may be abuzz with news of Khloe Kardashian’s birth to baby True, but the reality star isn’t the only celeb who became a first-time new parent this week. On Sunday, Fuller House actor John Stamos welcomed his first child. In an adorable Instagram post, the new daddy announced the birth of baby boy Billy Stamos.

You may think of him as the fun-loving (mullet-wearing) childfree Uncle Jesse from Full House. But now the actor is taking on a new role—as dad. Stamos adorably IG’d wedding news, to now new mama Caitlin McHugh, back in October, writing, “I asked…she said yes!…And we lived happily ever after.”

The happy couple went public with their pregnancy in December of 2017, marrying a few months later in February. With his recent marriage and baby news, we’re pretty sure that Stamos will be quick to shed his “Uncle Jesse” image.

His most recent major Insta-announcement featured the caption, “From now on, the best part of me will always be my wife and my son. Welcome Billy Stamos (named after my father).” Aww! Along with the sweet statement, Stamos added #NotJustanUncleAnymore and #Overjoyed. Yep, that sounds about right.
