You get out of the car to unload the groceries, feed the meter, tie your shoe or just about anything else when…whoa, your littles are off and running. How can you stop the sprint and keep them safe? Celeb mama Bell shared a pic of daughters Lincoln and Delta on Instagram with a pretty rad parenting hack. Known for keeping her kiddos’ identities private, this totally helpful photo is exactly what you’d expect from Bell—it doesn’t feature either of her daughters’ faces. Actually, it also shows their hands—and that’s the most important part.

With two tiny hands placed firmly in the center of a car’s closed gas pump door, her IG post reads, “”hands on the circle!” The phrase we say as we jump out of the car. “Hands on the circle” (the circle is the gas gap) was invented by my brilliant sister in law, and has thus far kept all kiddos safe from oncoming traffic while I unload the trunk.”

Yep, that’s right. Bell’s parenting hack has your kids placing their hands on the “circle” (gas cap cover) and sticking by the car until you’re able to safely lead them into wherever you’re going! So simple, so genius. We love it.
