Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always is coming to Netflix, and we finally have a trailer and the release details

Millennials, this is your time. If you grew up in the ’90s, surely you knew (and were utterly obsessed with) the Power Rangers. Now, because nostalgia is something our generation can truly never get enough of, the Rangers are back—and Netflix just dropped a new trailer and release details for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always.

If you were a fan of the original TV series, you’re going to want to prepare yourself for this new trailer, because it will make you feel things.

If hearing “It’s morphin time” didn’t make you want to grab some Dunkaroos and a Squeeze-It and hit your inflatable couch, were you even a ’90s kid?

The trailer features so many of the faces we knew and loved from the original show: David Yost as Billy, Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack, Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam, Steve Cardenas as Rocky, Karan Ashley as Aisha, and so many more. Barbara Goodson even reprised her role as the iconic villain Rita Repulsa, and Richard Horvitz is back as Alpha 5. Fans will also note newcomer Charlie Kersh, who is playing Trini’s daughter. Thuy Trang, who played the original Trini, was tragically killed in a car crash in 2001, when she was just 27 years old. In the trailer, we learn that her death has been worked into the reboot’s script: Trini was killed by Rita, and now the Power Rangers (and Trini’s daughter) have to stop the villain before she can hurt anyone else.

To say that the hype is already high for this reboot would be an understatement. But Netflix, clearly knowing what they’re doing, is upping the nostalgia factor with plenty of behind-the-scenes looks of the cast coming together and filming once again.

Power Rangers: Once and Always will premiere on Netflix on April 19. Until then, the streamer has the original series available so you can binge it in preparation. I’ll bring the Dunkaroos.
