It looks like Pink’s Grammy Award is pretty much the best “award” around. If you’re wondering how that’s possible (she lost to Ariana Grande), read on for the so sweet story.

Pink didn’t actually attend this year’s Grammy Awards—and for a valid reason. Her toddler son, Jameson, was sick—and sometimes even celeb mamas have to stay home with their sick kids, Even so, she still got a very special Grammy of her own, when her kids made her a completely cute trophy.

Yep, instead of Grammy gold, Pink took home an adorable kid-created trophy made out of aluminum foil. Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the musician revealed that foil awards are actually a family tradition. Each time she loses (which really isn’t that often), hubby Carey Hart and their two kiddos break out the foil and get artsy.

Along with ‘gramming a pic of daughter Willow, 7, with the newest award, Pink also tweeted, “I think it’s kind of rad that I just lost my 20th Grammy nomination. I’m always honored to be included. Now to get this sick baby in the bathtub. Congrats to all the nominees! Have fun tonight.”

We love how Pink always manages to keep it all in perspective.

Your kids can’t get enough of cowboy boots, hobby horses, and Woody from Toy Story. After all, there’s just something about the Wild West that appeals to kids (no rules, perhaps?). Scroll down to find out how to make a cool cowboy hat that’s so simple, there’ll still be time to stop a showdown at the OK Corral before the afternoon is over.

What You’ll Need

1. 1 cereal box

2. 1 sheet aluminum foil

3. Black or brown paint (acrylic or tempera)

4. Twine or rope

5. Elmer’s Glue

6. Scissors

7. Sharpie Pen

8. Jewels (optional)

9. Paintbrush

Step 1: Create the Headwear

Using the cereal box, cut one long straight strip, one shorter strip that curves up at the end (for the perfect hat brim!) and one rectangle piece with a half-circle cut in the middle that will serve as the front of the hat.

Step 2. Give the Hat Color

Using a paint color of your choice, cover all three pieces. Adding an additional layer is fine, but one should do the trick.

Step 3: Create a Sheriff’s Star

Fold the sheet of aluminum foil in half (the double layer helps to prevent tearing), then cut out a star shape. Write the words “Sheriff” and if your kid loves a little sparkle, here’s where those jewels will come in handy. Place glue along the inside of the layers to increase the star’s strength!

Step 4: Assemble the Headgear

First glue the front of the hat to the long straight piece, then follow with the shorter, curved piece on top. Make sure the shorter strip is glued above the long straight piece, so if really looks like it is the brim of the hat.

Step 5: Add On All the Fixin’s

Glue a piece of twine to the edge of the hat brim and then glue on the Sheriff’s star.

Step 5: Bring on the Cowpokes

Have your little sheriff hold the long straight piece around her head, then staple together. Then grab your horses and lassos for hours of fun!

Strollers are the holy grails of baby gear — after a long, hard search for the one of your dreams, you don’t want to let it out of your hands. Stake your claim to one of the newest and greatest strollers to hit the market. These three hot commodities have a few things in common: They’re sleek, modern, and navigate the city streets like nobody’s business. Here’s what you need to know.

Bumbleride Indie 4

The cool factor: Bumbleride was founded by two active parents, who also happen to have great design taste. It’s easy to move across any terrain with Indie 4’s effortless push performance made possible by its four, off-road-ready wheels and sturdy, aircraft-grade aluminum frame. This stroller also has an adjustable handlebar for parents of all heights.

Special features: The infant-to-toddler adaptability means there is a fully reclining seat and raising footrest; an included infant car seat adapter; and a new parent-facing bassinet accessory with side straps for convenient carrying. Older tots will appreciate the roomy, forward-facing seat and Bumper Bar (included) for stability and room to grow. Also new to the Indie 4: an interchangeable SPF 45 canopy that can be easily attached to either the stroller or the bassinet.

Great to use when: You are pushing your bambino down the street to music class and decide to swing by a local park along the way. It handles nature trails and sidewalks with equal ease.

Available online at diapers.com; $599, bassinet included.

Nuna IVVI

The cool factor: This ride can take the heat, cold, rain or shine. It has an integrated all-weather seat that you can switch with just a zip. Rely on the breathable mesh on summer days and comfy soft fabric for brisk winter walks.

Special features: Like Houdini, it does a lot of tricks. Choose from four modes: carry cot, travel system, rearward and forward-facing seat. A few of its features are great for young ones that nap while being strolled. For example, it has an oversized, extendable canopy with a flip-out eyeshade for maximum shade, plus adjustable calf support and a three-position recline to keeps little riders relaxed when sleeping and upright when exploring. Also, a top-notch suspension system promises a smooth ride.

Great to use when: You are a new parent and have to get out of the house. This stroller is built for long walks, no matter the weather.

Available online at shopnuna.com; $800.

Bugaboo Bee 3

The cool factor: Well, for starters, it’s a Bugaboo. If you need more convincing, know that this stroller — which becomes available on September 1, 2014 — is the third stellar incarnation of the popular Bee. Expect new fabrics and colors, an easy-to-carry bassinet, and an extendable sun canopy, offering your tyke even more comfort. Plus, the larger under-seat basket fits even more essentials.

Special features: The lightweight and easy-to-use bassinet lifts off the stroller in just two clicks and can independently be used as a self-standing bassinet so you can keep your newborn within easy reach. It comes in a variety of colors and is also available for current Bee owners as it can be purchased as a separate accessory. And about those new fabrics: They’re even softer and more breathable. There are 64 different color combination options, so you can customize your ride.

Great to use when: You want a quick trip to the neighborhood coffeeshop. This baby turns corners like there’s no tomorrow.

Available starting September 1 online at bugaboo.com; $949 – $999 (with bassinet) and $719-$769 (without bassinet).

Hoisin sauce is a staple of Chinese cooking, prepared with soybeans, garlic, chile peppers, and spices. It adds a flavorful, authentic Asian touch to numerous dishes and pairs especially well with salmon and can be bought in most grocery stores these days in the Asian cooking aisle. Hoisin paired with orange juice and honey adds a sweetness to the marinade, which the kids will just love. If you need to make dinner in a pinch this is your answer — just ask Red Tricycle’s Managing Editor who makes this dish every time time is tight and bellies are hungry.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon orange juice
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons honey
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
4 8- to 10-ounce salmon steaks, 1 inch thick
Vegetable cooking spray

Method:
1. Preheat broiler. In a glass measuring cup, whisk together orange juice, hoisin sauce, and honey.

2. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Place on a broiler pan lined with aluminum foil. Spray top of broiler pan with cooking spray. Brush half of the hoisin sauce mixture over to coat.

3. Broil salmon about 4 inches from the heat source, basting once, until opaque in center, 10 to 13 minutes.
