Celeb mama and model Behati Prinsloo recently shared a pic of her daughters, two-year-old Dusty Rose and one-year-old Gio Grace on Instagram. Even though Prinsloo, and hubby Adam Levine, typically keep photos of their kiddos private, this time it was for a very good reason!

Model Kate Upton, like Prinsloo, is more than just a pretty face. The model-actress mama launches the #ShareStrong hashtag earlier this week and other celebs, such as Prinsloo and actress Jessica Biel, have joined in.

Upton’s initial post read, “I’m strong for my daughter, I want her to feel comfortable to radiate strength, power and confidence. I realize that starts with me. Now I encourage you to join the conversation and share why you’re strong.”

Prinsloo jumped to join in on the conversation posting her on IG photo, captioning it, “Here’s to the sleepless nights, bleeding nipples, crying, laughing, the highest of highs and lowest of lows and everything in between.” She went on to add, “I won’t change a single thing, being mom to Dusty and Gio keeps me strong, motivated and empowered.”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently expanded its infant ibuprofen recall. Tris Pharma issued a voluntary recall of its Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID) 50 mg per 1.25 mL initially in December 2018. Representatives from Tris Pharma referred to its statement online about the recall when reached for comment.

The recall expansion, announced Jan. 30, 2019, includes three additional lots of Ibuprofen Oral Suspension Drops, USP, 50 mg per 1.25 mL. The infant ibuprofen, sold by CVS, Family Dollar and Walmart, may contain up to 700 percent higher concentrations of ibuprofen than the recommended dose, posing a serious health risk. Potential adverse effects from taking this over-the-counter medication could include vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache or ringing in the ears.

Recalled Infants’ Ibuprofen Description

The current recall includes three lots of  Infants’ Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID) 50 mg per 1.25 mL, packaged in 0.5 oz. bottles. Again, the affected products were sold at CVS, Family Dollar and Walmart stores. Visit the FDA’s website for a full list of the initially and currently recalled products, lot numbers and expiration dates here.

The brand names that the ibuprofen was sold under include Equate (at Walmart stores), CVS Health (at CVS) and Family Wellness (at Dollar General). You can also see the label and packaging scans below.

Why the Ibuprofen Was Recalled

The ibuprofen oral suspension may contain concentrations of the medication that are dangerous to infants. Along with GI symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and gastrointestinal bleeding, the potentially dangerous concentration of ibuprofen may also cause headaches and ringing in the ears.

It’s also possible that infants who are more susceptible to the higher potency may experience permanent NSAID-associated renal injury. Currently, no illnesses or injuries have been reported.

How To Tell If Your Ibuprofen Is Part of the Recall

Review the lot number, expiration date, description and seller name at the FDA”s website here.

What Parents Can Do

If you have the affected product, don’t use it. Return it to the place of purchase or dispose of it responsibly. Never leave medication in an open trash can. This poses a safety to risk to your child, wildlife/pets and other people. Direct questions or concerns to Tris Customer Service at 732-940-0358, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Pacific.

Parents who have concerns about their children’s health should contact their pediatrician or other qualified healthcare provider immediately.

One of our favorite children’s book authors, Dallas Clayton (he wrote the amazing An Awesome Book of Thanks! and An Awesome Book of Love!) has painted a fabulous “Stand here and think of someone you love” mural in Silverlake.  So seriously, put the kiddos between the open arms and tell them to think of someone they love.  Then send that person this snap.  Maybe tucked into one of Clayton’s books…

If you’re anything like us, for holiday gifts or at the end of the school year, you aimlessly troll the aisles of random craft stores and floral shops in desperate search of thank you gifts for your tykes’ teachers. Instead, why not shoot a gorgeous pic of your darling rugrats in front of Marisable Bazan’s “Dance of the Butterflies” mural emblazoned with the words “dream big.” After all, inspiring your kids to “dream big” is exactly what teachers do. Since the mural is conveniently located in the parking lot of John & Pete’s Fine Wine and Spirits, you could even grab your fave teacher a nice bottle of wine while you’re there too. So much better than an apple.

Part of her Global Angel Wings Project to “remind humanity that we’re all angels of this Earth”—yes, even your little devils—it’s become a game tracking down these winged wonders in hidden spots throughout the city. We especially love the angelic pair in the arts district downtown, with spots for two little angels of your own.

Weho’s Paul Smith store is known for many things – chic clothes, attentive service and trendsetting fashion. But it’s the store’s infamous pink exterior that really takes center stage. With a flamingo-colored hue that makes anyone look model ready and oodles of negative space to perfectly frame your subject, it’s a smize-worthy backdrop for tots to show off those back-to-school clothes you’ve just spent your mortgage on. Be prepared though, this is one of the most Instagrammed spots in the country, so you’ll be competing for wall time with fashion bloggers and tourists.

We ask you, how can even the most stubborn kiddo not smile for a photo with this as their backdrop! Full disclosure—like we said, the artwork is in an alley so you may have to crop out the dumpster nearby, but the pic will be perfection nonetheless.

If you’re struggling to find time with your family after a long day at work, you’re not alone. In a recent survey by The Energy Project, out of 42,000 folks, 71% of women and 68% of men agreed with the statement: “I don’t have enough time with my family and loved ones, and when I’m with them, I’m not always really with them.”

Fast Company devised a evening routine that may help alleviate situations like these. They say you can begin by discussing how your workday went, and since it’s back-to-school season, asking your little ones how their day went, too.

Second, tell your colleagues to leave you alone after hours. Fast Company says “Kids used to intrude on work. Now work intrudes on kids, and also on us, with burning emails, bleeding projects, and broken people.” So if it’s not burning, bleeding, or broken, tell your peers you’ll get to it the next business day.

Fisher-Price is recalling more than 10 million tricycles, toys and high chairs over safety concerns.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday that the tricycles and high chairs were blamed for children’s injuries.

In the recall of about 7 million Fisher-Price Trikes and Tough Trikes toddler tricycles, the agency is aware of 10 reports of children being hurt. Six of them required medical attention.

The trikes — some of which feature popular characters like Dora the Explorer and Barbie — have a protruding plastic ignition key near the seat that children can strike, sit on or fall on, leading to injuries that the commission said can include genital bleeding.

Fisher-Price is also recalling more than 1 million Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me High Chairs, after 14 reports of problems. The pegs on the back of the high chairs can be used to store the tray, but children can fall on them, resulting in cuts and other injuries. Seven children required stitches, the commission said.

CPSC Chairman Inez Tenenbaum said manufacturers need to do more to build safety into their products before they reach store shelves. But she also offered praise for Fisher-Price for “taking the right steps by agreeing to these recalls and offering consumers free repairs or replacement.”

The two other Fisher-Price recalls were:

_More than 2.8 million Baby Playzone Crawl & Cruise Playground toys, Baby Playzone Crawl & Slide Arcade toys, Baby Gymtastics Play Wall toys, Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium toys, 1-2-3 Tetherball toys and Bat & Score Goal toys. The valve of the inflatable ball on the toys can come off and pose a choking hazard to children, said CPSC. The agency said there were more than 50 reports of the valves coming off the balls.

_About 100,000 Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampway toys. The wheels on the purple and green cars can come off, posing a choking hazard.

Most of the products were being recalled in the United States, but about 400,000 of them were sold in Canada.

Fisher-Price is a unit of Mattel Inc. Consumers can visit the company’s website at www.service.mattel.com for more information on the dates of sale and model numbers for the recalled products.
