With all the back-to-school shopping hooplah, you may have forgotten about Nintendo’s newest addition. Earlier in the summer the video game giant announced the Switch Lite, a smaller, stand-alone version of the original that won’t connect to the TV and doesn’t have detachable controllers would be coming to a store near you.

The Nintendo Switch Lite launches Sep. 20, but Amazon and Target are already taking pre-orders!

So what do you need to know about ordering this handheld gaming device? To start with, the Switch Lite retails for $199.99 and comes in three colors—yellow, gray and turquoise. If your kiddo can wait, Nintendo will release a special Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenta Edition Nov. 8.

To pre-order your child’s newest (and soon-to-be fave) device just visit Amazon or Target’s website. As of now, the Switch Lite is Prime eligible on Amazon. This means you can expect to get the device roughly two days after the Sep. 20 release (not on the 20th). Target shoppers are pretty much in the same boat—with an expected delivery shortly after the device’s debut date.

Nintendo recently unveiled its newest gaming device—the Nintendo Switch Lite! Even better, if your kiddos can wait a few extra weeks (after the Switch Lite’s Sep. 20 debut) they can get a special Pokémon edition.

So what exactly is a Switch Lite? Like the name says, it’s a Nintendo Switch. But like the name says, it’s the “lite” version. That means it plays your child’s fave Switch games (that support handheld mode) but is smaller and doesn’t have the detachable controllers or the ability to connect to your TV. In other words, it’s a handheld gaming device.

Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser, said in a press release, “Adding Nintendo Switch Lite to the lineup gives gamers more color and price point options.” Bowser also added, “Now consumers can choose the system that best suits how they like to play their favorite Nintendo Switch games.”

The Switch Lite will come in three color options—yellow, gray and turquoise. The device, which retails for $199.99, launches Sep. 20. The special Pokémon-themed version (the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition) will also sell for $199.99, but isn’t available until Nov. 8.

The unicorn of the sea just got even more magical thanks to the addition of new Narwhal Fingerlings toys, swimming into stores—and our hearts—soon!

The newest members of the Fingerlings family are some of the best and cutest yet. The Fingerlings Narwhals have several new features unlike any of their predecessors, including a special mood horn that will light up different colors in reaction to interaction. The Narwhals will also flap their tails and blink their eyes to tell you how they’re feeling when you pet them.

Like the new Fingerlings Hugs that debuted over the 2018 holiday season, the Narwhals will also feature similar Magical Kisses. When you press your Narwhal’s face to your cheek, it will make a “mwuah” kissing sound that gets louder and louder the longer you press.

The new Narwhals comes in four different colors and names, including Nelly (Purple), Nikki (Turquoise), Nori (Blue) and Rachel (Pink). They will be available in stores in March for $14.99 each, just in time to fill those Easter baskets.
