Cultural destinations often fall into one of two camps: totally for kids or not really at all for kids. We found a slew of museums that cater to everyone, offering programming that is sure to educate and entertain kids and parents alike. Start your exploration by flipping through this slideshow of the country’s best museums to bring the kids!

Head Back West – Los Angeles, Ca

Raise an art lover at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art because anyone 17 and under can join NexGen LACMA’s youth membership for free! LACMA’s collections add up to the largest art display in the west and all value diversity—both in the art featured from Los Angeles as well as around the world and across time (we’re talking nearly a complete history of art, here). And in the Boone Children’s Gallery, lil’ artists can try their hands at Korean and Chinese brush painting, or start or end the week with a Story Time every Monday and Friday at 2 p.m. The outdoor installations alone are simply magic. Pick up a free Family Guide at the Ticket Office and check it all out!
