Game Night At The Yards: Why play ordinary board games when you can play larger-than-life games at The Yards? On The Yards Park, guests can play lawn bowling, bocce, corn hole, and oversized classic board games available for guests to rent from the “Yards Library,” allowing multiple guests to enjoy the games and play space throughout the evening. In other spaces throughout the Yards, guests can enjoy life-sized Jenga, chess, checkers, giant Connect Four, and more. Even better, Ice Cream Jubilee will be serving free mini scoops of their award-winning ice cream for the first 100 guests for each Game Night At The Yards.

Beyonce Dance Class: Back for year 2! Join us for complimentary one hour dance classes, featuring choreography to Beyonce’s most popular music videos! Dancers of all levels will learn step-by-step choreography, taught by local instructors from District Groove.

The Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) invites kids and young adults between the ages of 5-20 to participate in the 2018 Junior Over-the-Line (OTL) Tournament. There is a $5 entry fee per player. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. on tournament days. The format is round robin, single elimination and playoffs with three players per team. Single players will be matched with other players to make a team. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided to all.

The South Park Walkabout is a quarterly fun-filled evening festival that showcases all the unique and independent businesses within South Park. Enjoy complimentary treats, live entertainment and special offers. Kid-friendly, kid’s activities and free to attend!

Step inside the world of bubbles, literally, in this show about the science of bubbles. Kids will learn about the properties of bubbles in a fun and unique way, and even get to step inside one! This show is for families with children ages 4-11 and will be held in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium. Free tickets will be available starting at 2:00 pm on the day of the show. Seating is limited and is on a first come first served basis.

Joseph Peck presents his Caribbean Drum Circle where participants will experience the sound and learn about the fascinating history of the steel drum. Instruments will be provided for all to participate. This musical program is suitable for all ages.

 

Bring the whole family for a free day of art and fun at the Annenberg Space for Photography in beautiful Century Park! Enjoy our current exhibit and spend the day with us in the park where there will be a host of free activities to fill your afternoon, including live music, arts and crafts, magic shows, a petting farm, and more! Admission is free, but we encourage all guests to bring new school supplies to donate to the Assistance League of Los Angeles who will deliver them to children in need.
