Building Better People Productions, a theater that does shows about kindness, featuring professional actors, for a kid audience, presents our summer show, “Dream House: A Rainy Day Play.” The gist: A young woman named Jenn moves back to her childhood home, and faces fears old and new with the help of her imagination. It’s a touching, lively and funny look at the power of creativity for the child in everyone, on any day, rainy or otherwise.

To celebrate their new midtown location, Bright Horizons is having a book reading of Charlotte’s New York Adventure: A Meeting in Midtown. Main messages: thinking with your heart is a really good idea – for New Yorkers and even world leaders. It’s also fun to fly around the city helping people.

 

This summer, legendary concert and event venue The Wiltern will be screening three Disney animated classics: Lion King on Sun. Jul. 22, Toy Story on Sun. Aug. 5and Sun. Aug. 19, Lady and the Tramp. Screenings start at 3 p.m. doors at 2:30 p.m. Come early and take advantage of our themed photo ops, face painting, coloring stations. Kids under three come in for free. Yummy food, as well as soft and adult drinks available for purchase.

The 3rd annual free public art festival brings Yayoi Kusama’s unique art installation to Queens. Comprised of 1,500 mirrored stainless steel spheres, Narcissus Garden is on view in a former train garage that dates to the time when Fort Tilden was an active US military base.
