The Friends of the Ladera Ranch Library will host a free Caribbean Drum Circle. Welcome, Joseph Peck, who introduces the innovative design, development, and cultural significance of the steel drum. Through call and response, singing rhythms and playing percussion instruments, participants will enjoy jamming in a drum circle!

 

The Free Pre-Ballet Series introduces young dancers, ages 6-9, to the fundamentals of ballet. These free classes help children decide if ballet is right for them. We welcome all new dancers in this commitment-free, three-class series, with the goal of giving students the basic foundations and an appreciation of dance. Tsunami Pinata is a duo consisting of Luz Gaxiola (accordion + vocals) and Francis Brennan (banjo, guitar, pennywhistle, vocals). They specialize in intricate instrumentals and songs in many languages including Spanish, Russian, French, English, Czech, German, Arabic, Irish Gaelic, Malayalam, Italian, Portuguese, and Finnish. Come and experience this acoustic party music from around the world, arranged for banjo and accordion.

One of the largest auto shows in the country, this is the place to check out the latest 2019-model vehicles in a non-selling environment. Attendees are invited to sit behind wheels, inspect engines, experience new technologies and even take a spin in more than 100 new vehicles. The OC International Auto Show will also feature a multi-million dollar collection of exotic vehicles, electric vehicles, pre-production models, interactive displays, fun for the little ones and more. Additionally, the SoCal Work Truck & Van Show within the auto show returns with a collection of the latest work trucks and vans from top manufacturers.

The July 12 West Seattle Art Walk during Summer Fest Eve brings lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. The fun will kick off with the Bubbleman around 6:30 p.m. and artists will be creating chalk art on the street (there’s even an area for kids to make their own chalk art). Plus, kids and their parents can contribute to the community mural project.

Note: the streets will be closed during the event.
