The Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum invites you to the Dog Days of Summer Family Festival! Program. Get to know Owney’s story and understand the role that other animals, such as mules, play in our postal system. Visitors can explore a wide variety of activities including a scavenger hunt, Owney-puppet-making, screenings of the animated short “Owney: Tales from the Rails,” Story Corner, and the “Tracking Paws” map challenge in which you chart some of the 400 stops Owney made throughout the world.

Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is hosting their third annual camper showcase. Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is a nonprofit organization that brings the community together to empower girls through music at a week-long summer camp for ages 8 to 17. The camp aims to foster an environment that encourages self-confidence, uniqueness, creativity and teamwork. The event is open to the public and all ages are welcomed. Doors open at noon and the show begins at 12:30 p.m. Come see camper girl bands perform their original songs!

The Mississippi Street Fair is a community event focused on local products, artists, crafts and foods. It is a celebration of the diverse neighborhoods, neighbors and businesses surrounding Mississippi Avenue.

Feel the love this summer at Trancas Country Market in Malibu and celebrate sunny days during the Summer Lovin’ Shindig on Sat. Locals and visitors alike are invited to enjoy a smokin’ BBQ, sweet treats, free yoga on the lawn, art workshops, a corn hole tournament, and much more.
