The Grand Hall
The Hotel Lobby lives up to its name by making a ‘grand’ first impression on guests when they arrive. While you check-in, your kiddos can have fun in the LEGO brick pit beneath the towering Wizard Merlin and his tornado of magic––which lights up! There’s also a slide that descends from the first floor to the lobby (to the right in the photo above), for little ones to slip right into vacay mode.

Above is a closer look at the Wizard Merlin’s tornado of magic. In addition to this impressive LEGO sculpture, you’ll find more than 2,000 LEGO models made of more than three million LEGO Bricks throughout the Hotel.

Don’t miss the LEGO Royal Statue situated just outside the Castle Hotel. Master Model Builders spent 1,243 hours fashioning the statue that represents all of the Hotel’s key figures: a wizard, princess, jester, knight, king and queen. It’s comprised of 251, 565 LEGO pieces and weighs 1,563 pounds!

Also in the Grand Hall is a dungeon where kiddos can pose for a cheeky photo op.

Just outside the elevator off the lobby is the Jester’s Joker Knock-Knock Door. Use the brass ring to knock and the door will tell you a different joke every time! To the right of this special door you’ll also find a big, red Throne. Have your kids take turns sitting in it because it makes various responses depending on who sits down!

Three Different Types of Themed Rooms
You can choose between three themes for your room: Royal Princess, Knights and Dragons or Magic Wizard. Each room sleeps up to 5 people: there’s a king bed, a bunk bed and a trundle bed. The kids’ quarters also has a TV and play tables with plenty of LEGO bricks to build with!

Good to know: For larger families, the Hotel has 20 suites. Each suite sleeps up to 7 people and includes a lounge area with a sofa bed. The bathrooms in the suites have a separate tub and shower and both the kid’s and adult’s sleeping areas have closing doors.

Above is a photo of the Knights & Dragons room. The stained glass headboard lights up with the flip of a switch! And check out that awesome LEGO dragon perched on the table!

Don’t miss it: In the kid’s quarters of every room, press the button with the star on it and the ceiling lights up with a celestial scene of the night sky, complete with shooting stars!

The Magic Wizard room conjures up all kinds of fun from owl LEGO sculptures and treasures and potions to spell books, wands and magic mirrors. The head board even has a magical bubbling illuminated cauldron!

The Royal Princess themed room features fabulous twinkling lights on the canopy headboard that provide a dreamy nighttime glow. It’s like you just walked into your own personal fairytale complete with decor of flowers and vines and murals of friendly nearby kingdoms.

Dragon’s Den Restaurant and Bar
Open from 7 a.m.-10 p.m., this full-service, sit-down restaurant and bar runs the gamut of fine to casual dining, offering everything from lobster tail and steak to chicken fingers and fries. Dinner can be on the pricey side, with The House Burger at $16 to the Filet Mignon at $37. Adult entree options range from burgers and sandwiches to pasta, surf and turf, while “grub for the squires and poppets” rings up at $9 and includes fries, fruit and a beverage. Kiddie options range from mac & cheese and beef sliders to pizza and grilled cheese.

The creme de la creme: a full hot breakfast is included with your stay and the options and spread are quite impressive. Made-to-order omelettes, waffles, breakfast potatoes, assorted pastries, tropical smoothies, acai bowls, scrambled eggs and ham, smoked salmon, stuffed avocados, corn beef hash, sausage and bacon, gorgeous yogurt parfaits and fruit and more. There’s something to please every breakfast eater at this epic morning buffet.

Don’t miss it:  There’s a self-playing piano in the Restaurant! Also, on the wall outside the restaurant, ooh and aah over the LEGO Brick Lenticulars that change shape as you walk by!

Restaurant Entertainment
Beyond the food, the Dragon’s Den also keeps young patrons entertained with a play area, game-topped dining tables, strolling costumed characters and improv shows at 6 and 7 p.m.

The Crowning Glory: The Royal Courtyard
The Royal Courtyard will likely be the favorite part of your kid’s stay. It boasts a dazzling array of outdoor activities to keep little ones entertained and overjoyed. There’s a stage for daily performances, a DUPLO® play area for toddlers and a Knight Training interactive playground kids can practice their balance and climbing skills on, slides and plenty of LEGO bricks and tables to build endless creations.

Bonus: There’s plenty of comfy seating for parents too!

Courtyard Entertainment
Organized shows and entertainment are also part of the outdoor fun! Princes, princesses and wizards in training will love the Bubble Circus show that wows with bubble art and tricks (suited for kids 5 and under), kids 6-8 years will dig the Dragon Training puppet show and kids of all ages will delight in The Kingless Kingdom show––a live action performance that will leave them on the edge of their seat!

Giant Outdoor Movie Screen
This picnic/cinema area of the Royal Courtyard plays your kids’ fave LEGO movies!

Swimming Pool & Cabanas
The zero entry pool has two interactive features: a water fountain and two tipping buckets which splash those who dare to stand under them as they continually fill up! Little swimmers will make a splash building with the giant LEGO bricks floating in the shallow end. The pool is heated and there’s also a hot tub. The Castle Pool Bar & Grille also offers smoothies, sandwiches and salads and you can make a day of it by opting for a poolside cabana.

Tips to Enhance Your Little Royal’s Experience
Hey kids! Don’t forget to take a minifigure to trade at check-in and all around the Hotel and LEGOLAND Park! Staff members wear name badges that feature minifigures and you can trade as much as you’d like until you find the one you love the most.

Also at check-in, be sure to grab info on the scavenger hunt for kids. They’ll look for clues throughout the Hotel that will unlock the spell-filled treasure chest in their room to obtain a special surprise.

As a guest of the Hotel, you get to take advantage of early access to LEGOLAND! Wear the pop-up badge you get at check-in and beat the crowds.

Good to know: LEGOLAND Castle Hotel has a resort fee of $28 plus tax, which is not included in your reservation total and will be charged upon arrival. The resort fee includes self-parking, standard wireless internet, children’s entertainment, pool towels and local and domestic long-distance phone calls.
