The retailer currently uses Shipt, a grocery delivery service which offers same-day options, and it’s promising to include “all major products categories” in the new year. Customers can already get deliveries of groceries, select electronics, toys and other basics that add up to 55,000 products available same-day. While the company has not released full details of when exactly in 2019 customers can shop the expanded categories, this goes a long way in further connecting Target to its customer base. In the last year we’ve seen huge changes in the form of drive-up and pick-up services, as well as store remodeling and more self-checkout options. Additionally we are still waiting to hear if cold grocery items will be added to same-day delivery, which isn’t an option as of now.
