Move Over Dogs, the Latest Newborn Photo Shoot Mashup Is All About Kittens

You think newborn photo shoots are cute with humans? With puppies? Wait ’til you see the pictures a Nova Scotia-based photographer got with an adorable sleeping kitten.

Jessica M. Thomas specializes in newborn photography. Her Facebook page is filled with adorable chubby faces, swaddled babies and tiny newborns curled into tiny beds. So it was only fitting that when her best friend adopted a kitten, Thomas would do a proper photo shoot.

“This was my first time photographing a kitten,” Thomas told Babble. “I’ve done a few older puppies before, but they were much more awake because of their age.”

Thomas said in a Facebook post that the kitten “slept like a dream. Even purring while I was wrapping her.”

Um, OK stop it with the cuteness. Or don’t — here’s the fuzzy little newborn, all swaddled up to the whiskers:

Every kitten needs her lovey. Maybe her “mom” will take subsequent pictures with this little bear, just to track her growth.
