It must be summer in Boston! The city’s spray decks are hopping, neighborhood playgrounds are filled with the sounds of giggling toddlers and families are flocking to Boston’s beaches and parks to picnic and play. But we know these glorious summer days won’t be around forever. So if you want to make the most of Boston’s hot summer scene, we’ve got you. With everything from new museum and zoo exhibits to outdoor movies and concerts, families can play from sun-up to sun-down using this list of things to do in Boston with kids as a guide.

1. It’s opening day at the Frog Pond Spray Pool (June 28)! Bring the kids for a splash-tastic time before it turns into an ice skating rink. While you’re there, stop by every kids’ favorite sculpture before heading home.

2. Make your 4th of July plans soon; it’s just around the corner.

3. Test your echo skills at this nearby waterfall that’s just 30 minutes from the city.

4. Kick off the outdoor summer movie season when you bring blankets, a picnic and your favorite “smalls” to the see The Sandlot on July 17.

5. Go on a “giant” adventure with Jack.

8. Pitch your tent near a castle.

9. Plan a park and picnic playdate with some friends.

10. Gunstock Mountain Resort is a worthwhile summer destination. Families can enjoy zip lines, treetop tours and an off-roadeo ride.

11. Head to the Water’s Edge to celebrate Christmas in July.

12. Pick your fill of summer berries at a local farm.

13. Couple your outdoor summer concerts with bumper boats, mini golf and some of the creamiest ice cream around.

22. Plan a nearby day trip where you can catch your own dinner on the critter cruise.

23. There’s still time to catch the Asian Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Zoo if you haven’t already. But if you miss it, Boston Lights returns to Franklin Park Zoo starting July 22.

24. We’re pretty sure summers were made for beach daycations.

25. Sure, it’s Boston’s most visited attraction, but a trip to the New England Aquarium is always a hit with the kids. This summer add a whale watch cruise to the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary to try something new.

36. Find out why engineering is for everyone (and other fun science facts) at MOS this summer.

37. Dig for your dinner at the beach.
