DC League of Super Pets is no different. After the film has ended, a special scene emerges involving Superman and Krypto (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) playing in a park. But lo and behold, a new pup emerges to take Krypto’s fave Squeezy Bruce toy and it’s none other than Anubis––Black Adam’s dog. If you’re unfamiliar with Black Adam, he is the quintessential antihero of the DC Universe. In no small coincidence, Dwayne Johnson is portraying the comic book character in the new blockbuster film of the same name this fall and he decided to bring the two films together in the DC League of Super Pets extra scene. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dwayne Johnson (@therock)“We had an opportunity to build out this awesome animated universe in a big, fun, cool way,” says Johnson in his Instagram post. “So three-ish @Teremana’s [tequila] later 🥃🥃🥃😊, I came up with an end credits idea…Allow me to introduce the baddest, meanest, antihero canine walkin’ God’s green earth…. ANUBIS⚡️💀”Who knows if we will see a future film in which the pups fight the forces of good and evil, but the scene definitely gave Johnson a run for his money since he voices both of them! In the meantime, mark your calendars for the debut of Black Adam which drops in theaters on Oct. 21.According to Warner Bros., the film is action-packed. “Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world,” says the company.Oct. 21 can’t come soon enough.
