No? It doesn’t sound fun? Well, it might be. David and Madison Bowman were a regular couple, living in Manhattan with their two toddlers. But then they did something pretty… not so regular. David quit his job and the family moved in an airport shuttle bus. Yes, they went from Manhattan to shuttle bus. And here’s what happened! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Van Life + National Parks (@theamericanfieldtrip) David worked as a graphic designer, and wife Madison stayed at home with their four- and one-year-olds. When David started feeling restless, his wife encouraged him to create a bucket list. And what did it include? “Live on a Bus” and “Visit all of the US National Parks.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Van Life + National Parks (@theamericanfieldtrip)The couple dropped everything, including David’s job, and bought a $9,000 shuttle bus on eBay. They drove their bus to Idaho, stayed with Madison’s family and fixed up their new-ish vehicle. They tore out all the seats, added solar panels, built a bedroom, put in a kitchen and totally tricked out the old shuttle — making it a home away from home, on wheels. The family officially started their adventure on May 26 in Southern Ca. From there they headed north, driving up the coast to Alaska. Amazing!
