You watched her teen drama on MTV’s Laguna Beach. And then you watched her trying to adult on The Hills. Now, Lauren Conrad is taking on a new role — IRL. Yep, she’s a mama! The 31-year-old former reality star turned fashion designer recently took to Instagram, posting an aww-somely adorable picture of one-month-old son Liam. Even though we all totally “oohed” and “ahhed” over the photo, LC’s post was much more than just a baby pic.

Sure, Liam’s little face is covered up by those teeny tiny little hands. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t gushing over the photo. Aside from the obvious cuteness of LC’s post, the mama’s mighty message totally struck a chord with her fans.

She could have used the space for just about anything. Hey plenty of us would probably get a little braggy about a kiddo who’s that cute. But not LC. Nope. She might not be the most political celeb, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting out when it comes to current events.

Quoting Martin Luther King, Jr., Conrad posted, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” The new mommy went on to write about her hope that, “we can all learn to love each other a little more so that our children can live in a world with less hate and more acceptance and understanding.”

We couldn’t agree with LC more!
