Like everything else this year, gift giving is going to look a little different. Thankfully, DoorDash has just launched Gifting, a brand new way to share the food love with friends and family.

Gifting gives users the opportunity to send everything from treats to entire meals right away or at a pre-scheduled drop off time. It will be available across all stores on DoorDash and Caviar on iOS and Web for Android. To celebrate the launch, DoorDash is also offering a fun promotion.

From Nov. 19 through Nov. 27 (Black Friday) every customer who gives a gift of $20 or more through DoorDash or Caviar will get $10 off their next order. Additionally, for every gift of food given from Nov. 24 through Dec. 1 (Giving Tuesday) DoorDash will match all gifts by donating a meal to someone in need through Feeding America (up to 100,000 meals).

Gifting isn’t just about the holidays. You can also choose from plenty of digitally-animated cards for birthdays, congratulations, and many more, and create your own personalized message.

So how does it work?

Open open up your DoorDash or Caviar app and enter the address of the person you want to send a gift to. Choose your gift from the desired store, then at checkout click “send as a gift” to turn any order into a gift order.

Add the recipient’s name, select your card, fill in the giftee’s phone number, confirm your details, then place your order. Then all you have to do is share the info with your loved one––Gifting is on the way!

Want to help even more? If you’re the lucky recipient of a gift through DoorDash, pay it forward and support local businesses by using the hashtag #OpenForDelivery to share your fave foods and shops.

In today’s world of technology and virtual learning, it’s inevitable that kids will use devices, apps, and other technology to learn and play.  It can be challenging to find quality content across digital platforms, but there are resources available for families to find enriching and engaging content.

Google can help! Earlier this year, Google launched a new Kids tab on the Google Play Store to help families find Teacher Approved apps that are both enriching and fun, making it easier for you to find the best apps for your kids. But the fun doesn’t stop in the Play Store. Earlier this fall, Google launched Google Kids Space, a family-friendly tablet experience designed to spark your kiddo’s curiosity and creativity with tons of quality content through apps, games, books and videos. Plus, every app and game on Kids Space is teacher-approved. It’s customizable to your kid and their personality. And the best part is that YOU set the boundaries with parental controls from Google’s Family Link, so you can feel better while young ones explore and learn on their device.

Google Kids Space is available as a kid’s profile on select Android tablets—no subscription necessary! All you need to do is set up Kids Space on a compatible device, and it will recommend free-to-download apps, games, and books from Google Play, and videos from YouTube Kids that are based on the interests your child chooses. That means your little one can learn about everything from dinosaurs to dragons, to crafts and baseball. Kids Space recommends content that helps kids discover, create and grow.

Kids Space has four key areas for kids to explore:

Play—Find tons of teacher-approved apps and games from Google Play. The apps are age-appropriate, thoughtfully designed and fun and engaging!

Read—Books are free, handpicked by experts, and include favorites like “Pete the Cat” and “Harold & The Purple Crayon.” Google works with publishers like Sesame Street and Harper Collins so your kids have great books to choose from, which normally cost money, but Kids Space lets you read them for free.

WatchKids Space recommends videos from YouTube Kids that are creative and fun. Kids can practice singing, dancing and cooking, and watch videos about nearly every topic they love, from animals to magic to nature.

Make—This section recommends videos from YouTube Kids that spark hands-on creativity and play. Kids can learn to draw, do silly science experiments or play an instrument, just to name a few. The videos help encourage off-screen activities!

Parents love Kids Space because they can set boundaries with parental controls in Google’s Family Link app, and kids will love the fun content they’ll discover on Kids Space! For added flexibility, parents can easily add additional books, apps, and games from Google Play.

Google Kids Space requires a Google Account for your child. Parental controls require the Family Link app on a supported Android, Chromebook, or iOS device. Books and video content not available in all regions. Video content subject to availability of YouTube Kids app. Books content requires the Play Books app. Availability of apps, books, and video content may change without notice. Yoto is a screen-free audio platform for children. This alternative provides families the opportunity to balance play time, learning and creativity without screens. The brand recently announced their United States launch and availability of the Yoto Player in order to inspire a new generation of learners.

Yoto Player

The Yoto Player is designed to safely give children full control over their listening, by entertaining and educating them while reducing screen-time. Yoto Player is controlled using physical cards that are inserted into the Player which plays audio content, reducing screen time without removing technology. Parents have access to the Yoto smartphone app allowing control of settings and content management. The free-to-download Yoto smartphone app also contains a selection of free content available to all, and allows families to play the audio through other Bluetooth speakers, including in the car for on-the-go entertainment. Additionally, Yoto’s audio cards have the ability to play content through the app by simply tapping the card to the back of a compatible smartphone.

Yoto Player

“Research shows that audio can help inspire creativity and imagination in children, whereas screen-time has the opposite effect. We created Yoto with the mission to help inspire the next generation of creative, independent minds through audio and we are thrilled to introduce the Yoto Player to the US market, giving more children access to a world of curated audio content,” said Ben Drury, CEO and co-founder of Yoto. “Children can listen to amazing audio without a smartphone screen, freeing their hands and minds for imaginative play whilst parents know that they are safe.”

Having secured licenses with Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Hachette, Macmillan and more, the extensive and ever-expanding content library is packed with some of the world’s greatest children’s authors including Roald Dahl and Judith Kerr. The Yoto library also features music, activities, and podcasts, such as the Yoto Daily, Yoto’s very own free micro-podcasts, as well as radio and sound effects. In addition, the Yoto Player has a ‘Create Your Own’ function enabling users to create their very own bedtime stories or link to their favorite radio stations or podcasts.

Yoto Player is available for purchase at us.yotoplay.com starting at $99.99. The Yoto smartphone app is available to download for free on iOS or Android.
