Hedwig serves as the centerpiece, clutching Harry’s Hogwarts letter. June brought the debut of a new LEGOLAND Discovery Center at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (And along with it, SEA LIFE New Jersey, an aquarium experience with an underwater ocean tunnel and more than 3,000 sea creatures from sharks, to seahorses to stingrays. Combo tickets are available, with the option to return another day for either attraction.)

It’s no secret that Barnes & Noble sells a lot more than books but take note: some are great spots to buy LEGOs as well. Check out the big Barnes & Noble location at Union Square, which stocks sets for big and little kids. Plus: the hard-to-find Juniors sets (the ones that come in the cool briefcase!) for kids aged four to seven. Barnes & Noble also has its very own LEGO stationery sections where LEGO-obsessed children can find LEGO pencils, notebooks and stickers.
If your LEGO builder is downright obsessed with all things space and dinosaurs, the American Museum of Natural History store is your go to place. The Halloween spirit is building! LEGO will release two new sets for the upcoming spooky season on August 1. You can buy a Spider & Haunted House and a Halloween Owl to have some fun and decorate with your family.
The first seasonal playset features a brick spider with poseable legs and a miniature haunted house with window and cracked brick stickers. Both feature strings so you can hang them with your other decorations. Kids seven and up can enjoy this one and it’s only $9.99.

If your family has a passion for sneakers and LEGOs, the following news will make your day. The LEGO Group just announced two exciting drops that combine the best of both worlds: an actual sneaker that’s emulates the look of LEGO bricks and a brick sneaker that you can build and display proudly with the rest of your collection.
First up, the adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneaker. It will be available in both kid and adult sizes and will likely make people do a double take when it’s on your feet. Purposefully styled to mirror the LEGO brick pattern, it also features the classic adidas black and white leather and three stripes. Don’t forget the gold foil accents! You can buy it as part of the adidas x LEGO collection on July 1.
Want to take it as step further? You’ll also be able to buy a set to make your own adidas shoe out of bricks! The LEGO adidas Originals Superstar 10282 model is life-sized and features the iconic sneaker graphics and branding. LEGO keeps upping the ante! The new LEGO World Art Map is a legit work-of-art wall piece and at 11,695 elements, it contains the most pieces ever included in a set in the LEGO Group’s history.

With 40 interconnecting base plates, it can be arranged in three different ways so you can highlight your own favorite part of the world.
