Two Pittsburgh area hospitals celebrated World Kindness Day in a beautiful way—a beautiful day in the neighborhood way, that is!

In a sweet tribute to beloved children’s television icon Fred Rogers, UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital dressed newborns in the classic red sweater-sneaker combo. Not only did the hospital outfit the completely cute kiddos in Mister Rogers-esque gear, but Rogers’ widow Joanne came to visit.

UPMC Magee wasn’t the only hospital in the area to honor Mister Rogers on this special day. Allegheny Health Network’s West Penn Hospital also dressed its newborns in cardigans. A spokesperson for the Allegheny Health Network, Stephanie Waite, told CNN, “In Pittsburgh, we are also celebrating Cardigan Day, in honor of Pittsburgher Fred Rogers, who modeled kindness and compassion to children.”

Waite continued, “At AHN, we wanted to join in the spirit of kindness with our most adorable ambassadors, our newborn babies.”

Mrs. Rogers Spills the Tea about Life with Mr. Rogers on Jimmy Fallon

It’s back to school time, even for the royals! Princess Charlotte joined big brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea first day on Thursday.

The princess, who will go by Charlotte Cambridge during her school days, was greeted by the head of the lower school Helen Haslem. Like many kiddos who are starting their first day at a new school, four-year-old Charlotte was escorted by her parents. Of course, in Charlotte’s case, her parents are highly-watched members of the British royalty.

Dad and mum, otherwise known as Prince William and Kate Middleton, walked hand-in-hand with their children as royal watchers and plenty of photographers looked on.

At the drop-off Prince William was overheard, saying to Haslem, “First day—very excited,” in reference to Charlotte’s feelings. Middleton politely asked the head of school, “How are you? Did you have a nice summer?”

Along with the pics the paparazzi caught of the royals first day of school, Kensington Palace recently released official photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince George. The brother and sister duo posed sweetly in their school uniforms—a navy skirt and cardigan for Charlotte and a matching navy sweater and short combo for George!

This summer look is perfect for a cloudy day or for families spending their holiday along a windy shoreline. We spotted Colin and Claire from a distance as we walked down the Marina. Their bright summer hues reminded us how even in the Bay Area, the fog is no reason to be grey.

Where: Marina Boulevard in San Francisco
Name: Colin + Claire
Age: 2 and 3

Wear the Siblings are Wearing:
Dress – Gap
Shirt – Carter’s

Colin’s creamsicle shirt fits nicely on him. It kept out of his way as he scrounged the sand for sea critters. We’re sure his style is an easy find in local mall, so don’t shy away from these colors! Claire’s summer dress is paired with three-quarter leggings, but what pulls her outfit together is the solid pink cardigan. Now the patterns on her dress aren’t running all over the place, and her arms are saved from the beach chills.

This brother and sister duo were more eager to show off their freshly caught crabs than their stylish attire. Still, we give props to Colin and Claire’s parents for dressing the siblings in sync.
